Dorothy Parker, Glasgow
Career Coach
Leaving school
If you are confused about whether to go to college or university, what to study, or just have no idea what path to take — let me help you find the career that will suit you best.
Redundant
Redundancy can be frightening — but it’s also an opportunity. If you want a complete change in direction, I will help you identify a new career that will inspire you.
Seeking a career change
Stuck in a rut, or having a mid life crisis? If you feel you have more to offer I will help you discover a more fulfilling life.
The key to having a satisfying career, whether you’re leaving school or changing career, is knowing yourself — knowing and using your strengths and understanding your values. Coaching is an effective process to help you clarify what you want out of life and focus on what’s really important to you.
I offer confidential, one to one career coaching. I help you learn more about yourself through an MBTI psychometric assessment, and work with you to explore your interest, skills and values.
Then we create a plan of action: prepare a CV, a networking plan and get ready for interviews.
This coaching programme supports you on a journey from uncertainty about your future career direction to confidence that you are making the right choice.

What my clients say
Dorothy was extremely helpful and an excellent listener and provided the clear guidance I required.
She provides invaluable guidance and makes you question your future instead of just carrying on in the same direction.
Sharon Cannon, BBC
Dorothy helped me focus and helped me come up with an action plan. She focused on me — what I wanted to do.
And Dorothy has a lot of experience in recruiting and interviewing people. She helped me prepare my answers for interview questions — this was very helpful.
